ARTWORKS AND ANTIQUES MAINTENANCE – IEK
Graduates of this course acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge and are qualified in using proper methods of maintenance of artworks and cultural heritage objects.
Their work focuses on maintaining objects or monuments with historical, archeological and artistic value in their attempt to preserve these cultural goods and slow down the process of dilapidation.
Dilapidation due to time is reformed through suitable interventions which contribute to securing world cultural heritage and renew people’s interest (audience, scholars, collectors).
Maintenance work is based on international guidelines issued by ICOM, IIC, AIC and CIC regarding strict scientific methodology compatible with modern techniques deriving from natural sciences. Potential dilapidation is reformed and new aspects of artworks are highlighted revealing the cultural and social context of the era when the artwork was created as well as the intellectual context along with materials and techniques applied for its construction.

Εκπαιδευτικές Επισκέψεις
Τα μαθήματα δεν περιορίζονται στις αίθουσες διδασκαλίας, αλλά «μεταφέρονται» σε επαγγελματικούς χώρους. Προγραμματίζουμε συχνές εκπαιδευτικές επισκέψεις σε επαγγελματικούς χώρους, με σκοπό την επαφή των σπουδαστών με πραγματικές συνθήκες εργασίας. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο επιτυγχάνεται αφενός η γνωριμία με το μελλοντικό περιβάλλον εργασίας και αφετέρου η συλλογή εμπειριών αλλά και γνώσεων από τους επαγγελματίες του χώρου.
Σεμινάρια
Η «Εκπαιδευτική Ένωση», πέρα από την άριστη διεξαγωγή των μαθημάτων, εξασφαλίζει στους σπουδαστές της μία σειρά εκπαιδευτικών σεμιναρίων από επαγγελματίες κάθε κλάδου, που τους βοηθούν να εμπλουτίσουν τις γνώσεις τους και να μάθουν σε άμεσο πρακτικό επίπεδο την επιστήμη που επέλεξαν να σπουδάσουν. Στην αρχή κάθε μήνα ανακοινώνεται το πρόγραμμα των σεμιναρίων ειδίκευσης ανά τομέα σπουδών
Συνέδρια και Ημερίδες
Στην Ένωση παρέχουμε στους σπουδαστές μας την ευκαιρία να εμπλουτίσουν τις γνώσεις τους, δίνοντας τους την δυνατότητα να συμμετέχουν σε συνέδρια και ημερίδες που διοργανώνουν οι συνεργαζόμενες εταιρείες, αλλά και η σχολή.
Πρακτική Άσκηση σε Πραγματικές Συνθήκες Εργασίας
Η «Εκπαιδευτική Ένωση» προσφέρει πρακτική άσκηση σε πραγματικές συνθήκες εργασίας και ρεαλιστικά μοντέλα. Η εξάσκηση των σπουδαστών γίνεται πάνω σε πραγματικές συνθήκες εργασίας, με έμπειρους επόπτες. Η εμπειρία αυτή είναι πολύ σημαντική, καθώς αναφέρεται στο βιογραφικό σημείωμα του αποφοίτου και σηματοδοτεί την έναρξη της επαγγελματικής του σταδιοδρομίας.

Ο Όμιλός μας παρέχει στην αρχή κάθε ακαδημαϊκού έτους υποτροφίες με βάση κοινωνικά και αξιοκρατικά κριτήρια, με στόχο να δώσουμε την ευκαιρία σε όλους τους ενδιαφερόμενους να ακολουθήσουν τις σπουδές που επιθυμούν.
Η χρηματοδότηση αφορά το πρώτο ή και το δεύτερο έτος σπουδών των ειδικοτήτων ΙΕΚ, ενώ οι πόροι προέρχονται από ίδια κεφάλαια του Ινστιτούτου Τέχνης & Πολιτισμού P. Botsiou Institute, του «Ελληνικού Κέντρου Ερευνών Ήχου Μουσικής & Λόγου», του «Κέντρου Έρευνας Ανθρώπινων Συμπεριφορών» και του «Ελληνικού Κέντρου Διαπολιτισμικής Ψυχιατρικής και Περίθαλψης “Κωστής Μπάλλας”».
